Pure Norwegian spring water delivered in bulk via flexitank container — to any port in the world.
A flexitank is a large, food-grade flexible bag installed inside a standard 20-foot ISO shipping container. Engineered to hold up to 24,000 litres of liquid, it transforms an ordinary container into a sealed, hygienic bulk liquid transport system — with no permanent infrastructure required.
Fresh Water Norway uses flexitanks to deliver pure, award-winning Norwegian spring water directly from our source in Telemark to customers anywhere in the world. Our factory sits just 150 metres from a deep-sea harbour, allowing us to move filled containers from source to ship with minimal handling and a reduced carbon footprint.
The flexitank liner is manufactured from multi-layer food-grade polyethylene, certified to the highest international food safety standards. Once filled, the container is sealed and ready for ocean freight — safe, stable, and tamper-evident throughout the entire voyage.

From Norwegian spring to your port — a seamless, end-to-end logistics solution.
Pure spring water is drawn from our certified source at Mjovann, Telemark. The water is tested and verified to meet international drinking water standards before any filling begins.
A food-grade flexitank liner is installed inside a standard 20-foot shipping container. Our facility is located just 150 metres from the deep-sea harbour, allowing the container to be filled with 24,000 litres of fresh water and transported directly to the container port near Brevik with minimal road distance.
The sealed container is loaded onto a vessel at the container port near Brevik and shipped to your designated destination port. The flexitank is designed to remain stable and secure throughout the ocean voyage, regardless of sea conditions.
Upon arrival at your designated port, you have a free period* to complete all necessary customs paperwork, arrange discharge of the water, and return the container to the port. This window is designed to give you ample time to coordinate your receiving logistics without incurring additional demurrage charges.
When your container arrives, you have two flexible options for receiving your water.
We offer the option to include ground storage bags with your shipment. These large, food-grade polypropylene bags (up to 24,000 litres capacity) are strapped to the container ceiling before departure — so everything you need arrives in the same container.
Once on-site, the ground bag is unrolled on a flat, clear surface and water is discharged directly from the flexitank into the ground bag via hose. The ground bag can be placed indoors or outdoors and will safely store water for extended periods when protected from UV exposure.
Learn About Ground BagsAlternatively, the water can be discharged directly into your own existing storage infrastructure — tanks, reservoirs, or any other approved vessel. Our flexitank is equipped with a standard discharge valve and hose connection, making it compatible with most industrial and commercial storage systems.
This option is ideal for clients who already have on-site storage capacity and simply need a reliable, high-volume supply of premium Norwegian water delivered to their facility.

Ground storage bag strapped to container ceiling — arrives with the shipment
Our ground storage bags offer a unique advantage: they travel inside the same container as the flexitank, strapped securely to the ceiling just behind the rear door. When the container arrives at your port, you receive both your water and your storage solution in a single delivery.
The ground bag is unrolled on any flat, clear surface — indoors or outdoors — and filled via hose directly from the flexitank discharge valve. A ground protection sheet is included in every delivery to protect the bag from abrasion and puncture.
Understanding the delivery and return process.
Your filled flexitank container arrives at your designated destination port. The free period* begins from the moment the container is made available to you.
Complete all necessary import documentation, customs clearance, and port formalities. Having your paperwork prepared in advance will maximise the time available for discharge operations.
Discharge the 24,000 litres of fresh water from the flexitank into your ground storage bags or preferred storage facility. The discharge valve and hose connection make this a straightforward operation requiring minimal equipment.
Once discharged, the empty container must be returned to the port within the free period* to avoid additional demurrage charges. The empty flexitank liner is removed and disposed of locally; the container itself is returned clean and ready for the next voyage.
